Details
Good
to know.
- The image stays the image
- A filled-in form, an ID, a receipt or a signed page goes into Word as the picture it is, so it looks just like the original. Nothing is retyped or recognised.
- Want the text?
- This tool doesn't read text. To make a scan searchable or editable, use Recognize text in the PDF Editor.
- No quality loss
- JPG and PNG images are embedded as they are. Sideways phone photos are turned upright; WebP is saved as JPG or PNG, which Word can hold.
- Page sizes
- “Fit to image” makes each page the shape of its picture, up to Letter size — nothing cropped, stretched or padded. Or choose A4 or Letter with a margin.
FAQ
Questions
answered.
01Does it turn the picture into editable text?
No — and that's on purpose. The image goes into the Word document exactly as it is, so a filled-in form, an ID, a receipt or a signed page looks just like the original. To make the text of a scan searchable or editable, use Recognize text in the PDF Editor.
02What size are the pages?
By default each page is the shape of its image, up to Letter size, so nothing is cropped, stretched or padded. You can also place every image on an A4 or Letter page with a small margin.
03Is the picture changed?
JPG and PNG images go into the document byte for byte. Phone photos stored sideways are turned upright, and WebP images are saved as JPG or PNG because Word can't hold WebP.
04Are my images uploaded?
No. The Word file is built inside this browser tab; nothing is sent to a server.
