Details
Good
to know.
- Scans, fixed carefully
- When you correct a word in a scan, only the changed characters are repainted, matched to the surrounding ink and paper. Always check the preview — it's a close match, not a guarantee.
- Visual signatures
- Draw or upload your signature and place it on the page. It's an image of your signature, not a cryptographic digital signature.
- Whiteout isn't redaction
- Whiteout covers content visually. The original is still inside the file, so don't use it to hide sensitive information.
- Keyboard friendly
- Ctrl/⌘+Z undoes, Ctrl/⌘+Shift+Z redoes, Delete removes the selection and Escape returns to the Select tool.
FAQ
Questions
answered.
01Can I edit text in a scanned PDF?
Yes. Click Recognize text — the page is read with OCR on your device — then click any word to correct it. The change is painted to match the surrounding scan as closely as possible; always check the preview.
02Is the signature legally binding?
It's a visual signature — an image of your signature placed on the page. It is not a cryptographic digital signature.
03Does whiteout remove the text underneath?
No. Whiteout visually covers content; the original is still inside the file. It is not secure redaction.
04Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The editor, OCR included, runs entirely in your browser.
